Daniel Ekechukwus came back from the death!

Daniel Ekechukwus with his wife.

Daniel got up from the death.

The November 30th, 2001, the brakes failed and the car to Rev. Daniel Ekechukwus and he was thrown into a concrete pillar. He was driven into a Nigerian hospital. His condition was serious. For some reason, Daniel wanted the doctors to transfer him to another hospital. The doctors warned about the trip would kill him and they were right. Daniel's wife remembers the words to her dying husband.

My husband called me and told me I should take care of the children and office of the minister. He said he had built a house for me and I should not worry. I'll take care of everything. He said there are some people who are called to go quick (to die early) and he was among them, "said Ekechukwu.

Daniel died on the way to the other hospital. He was driven at full speed to the Nigerian clinic where Dr. Josse Annebunwa worked. I was told he was involved in a car accident in Onitsha, Nigeria. When I examined him, I looked at the chest and there was no respiratory movements. I listened with a stethoscope and there was no breathing sounds. I examined the heart and cardiovascular system, but there was no sound. The patient had no pulse. I looked at his eyes - the pupils were solidified and expanded. I came to the conclusion at once that the patient was dead and he should be removed to the morgue, said Annebunwa.

Mortician Barlington R. Mann remembers when Daniel's father and wife brought the body to the morgue. "There was no life in him, no heartbeat and no sign of breathing, "said mortician Barlington R. Male. I accepted him as a dead body. After I had checked these things, I checked around the entire body and everything was stiff. It was this which gave us the conviction to start our procedure in the art and embalm. I sent him into the other room and put him on the last slab. In three days, Daniel's body lay there in the open embalming room. During that time the body was prepared for burial - including embalming art!

This picture is taken just after Daniel is resurrected.

While they waited for the funeral, Daniel's wife began to argue with our Lord. I began to call on the Lord's name. I wanted to remind God of his promises, "said Daniel's wife.

A verse which inspired me was Hebrews 11:35: "Women received their dead again by resurrection". The moment I read this verse, it strengthened me to keep God's word firmly and in deed. Three days after Daniel's death, his wife decided what she would do. She had heard about a meeting near where it happened miracles. It was Reinhard Bonnkes bean service.

She went to collect her husband's body. Before I could get it, they had already arranged coffin ready, she says. The moment they put him in the car, I ran with my son and his brother into the ambulance, and we began to come down to this place. And I asked someone if Bonnke had come. Within a short time arrived Reinhard Bonnkes church. I asked if they could get Daniel's body in to pray on him. I felt the anointing would be so strong there and the anointing was to restore my husband, "said Daniel's wife. They came up to me and told me it would be an embarrassment to retrieve a corpse into a church, said one of the workers on the Bonnke service.

We realized that no matter what we do and where we are, God is present. If God wants to perform a miracle for the man, so has the place where the man really is of no significance.

De la Daniels dead body in the basement where the meeting was held. They put his body over two tables, and several pastors began to pray for him. As we held on and pray, as one of the pastors of a sudden saw his eyes started to move and life started to get into the body. I said to my friend, the Rev. Luke: "You know, they say he was three days in the morgue. Let us massage him."

So he began massaging his right hand. And I massaging the left hand. As we returned massaged his hands and it was life in them, we put them on his chest. He breathed, and we continued to massage his hands. I returned the neck massaging and life came into it. I was able to turn on his head. Pastors around him continued to massage the body, because after three days in the morgue, had rigor inserted.

While they did this, suddenly Daniel jumped to his feet to the surprise of everyone who watched! Pastors were unsure of what to do next.

Here is Daniel looking at his own coffin!

I said let's take him up, and we came up the steps. At the end of the step he said, "Water, water". "I cried; Bring water, bring water, bring water to him!".

It was filled to overflowing with people and suddenly there came people from the outside. It seemed that the news went out and people came. People came in and they saw the dead man sit down.

Today tells Daniel about Jesus to all who will listen to him.

Daniel as Lazarus had been raised from the dead! Story of his resurrection spread like ground fire in dry grass. Everywhere he went people knew God had performed a miracle.

In the days and weeks that followed, Daniel began to share with others about what happened to him when the body was lying lifeless in the morgue.

He spoke of a journey with an angel who allowed him to visit both heaven and hell. He told me we would go to paradise said Daniel. Then we visited a place. When we approached the place I saw many people who looked exactly like the angel who was with me. The angel who was with me looked like it was white. The body was pure white. Dry suit was pure white, but it looked as though it could not be taken off the body. When I saw this crowd looked exactly like the angel who was with me. In my heart I said, look at all the angels gathered.

After this, he said: "Let us go and visit the mansion where Jesus promised." He (the angel) took me to a wonderful place. For in fact what I saw there, I have no words to describe. It was so brilliant. It was a very nice mansion. You could see the building it could look like glass or gold or something. Although the flowers looked like gold.

Then the angel said: "Now let us go to hell". In a moment, found ourselves there. Once the gate opened, I heard jamring. So I looked inside and saw people like us there. They were dressed in some clothes. They had the same body, and some were black and some were white. They looked like us. They complained - and there was great pain, and a lot of anguish. It was so immediately when the gate was opened, it was as if they were to see me. They asked me for help and cried. And I remember one. He shouted "I am a Pastor, I only stole church money, and I am ready to repay them immediately." He said he was ready to repay it, and I should help him. It was a force which tortured them. I never saw any fire there, and I never saw any flames in hell, but torture/torment people have looked to be into them even as a fire.

It was then the angel declared something to Daniel who got his heart to melt with fear. He told Daniel he deserved to be in hell! So while I screamed for help and asked the angel about a chance to go back, as he mentioned this: "the requests for the rich man in hell had been heard for this generation". I did not understand it.

It was later, when I woke up and read the Bible, that I understood what it was. The rich man (in Luke 16) requested that a dead man would be sent back to the world. Then he said the request for the rich man had been prayers for this generation as a final warning. He told me he gave me an opportunity to return to this generation, as a final warning, "said Daniel. Today, it is precisely what Daniel does - he warns anyone who will listen for the verdict to come - and the promise of eternal life to those who trust in Jesus.
